Herb, I can hardly wait until next week when the dems take over control of congress. They will open up most of the committee meetings to the public which the repubs had closed and shed light on what has been going on.

For 12 years the dems have had no power to do anything, but now they have subpoena power, so public officials will have to testify.

Bush and the republican congress had a deal. Bush did not veto a single republican pork deal and in return there was no congressional oversight of bush which allowed bush to do whatever he liked.

John Dingle and Henry Waxman are seasoned sherlock holmes political warriors and they are goign to bring the goings on with Haliburton etc to light.

Joe Biden (real smart and real honest) will be committee chairman of the ? and intends to investigate exactly how we got into Iraq.

I think the Americans and the world will be shocked when they find out what has been going on behind closed doors!

When Chris Mathews asked Tester (new senator from North Dakota?) what he thought was important he said open committee meeetings to public scrutiny and Mathews said all of the meetings and he said yes.
