CobaltBlue, I believe that Iktomi is referring to Iraqi Sunnies, this action in turn highlights the sectarian divide in Iraq between the Sunnies and Shias which the US (mainly Bush) is refusing to publicly admit.

If Iktomi is referring to all Muslims than your argument stands, however, given the confusions around the sighting of the crescent, they should have postponed the execution couple days after the Eid-al-Adha. It all boils down to the intentions of the US government. I believe that the intentions of the US are to let Iraq situation blow, create an irreversible civil war and divide the country.

Now if tis is true, I think 4,000 American soldiers lost their precious lives for nothing cause America will never be safe and according to Bush all Americans will should lose their freedom in the name of homeland security.
