If you said 'dead', I'd have agreed with you. As it stands...

That prediction has been made for various time horizons over the years. Who knows? Maybe you are right. But the track record of that particular prediction hasn't been good. And given that AMD is in all segments with almost all vendors, something it has never had, that prediction is looking less likely than ever before.
