Ah, such scepticism, but alas, alas , more often than not true. A lesson IMO that you learn early in the game or you don't stay in the game for long. I have not paid attention to broker "recommendations" for more years than the age of most posters on SI. The brokers, for me, first last and always are a means to an end. That is to say since they have a seat on the exchange they handle my buy sell transactions, for a fee of course. Over the years most of my gains have been making decisions contrary to the houses recommendations.
