And a happy new year for some. Both BLS and SBL got acquired over the weekend, so they will vanish from the S&P 500. As far as I know their replacements haven't been named yet. Usually when a stock gets added to the S&P 500 it jumps 3-5% the day of the announcement. So two lucky stocks should get a pop when trading begins again on Wednesday.

Anybody want to guess which 2 stocks will be added to replace BLS and SBL? I'll take a shot with Lam Research and Etrade.

What do you think will happen when the big boys come back this week? The markets nose dive or begin ramping again? I am thinking the former.
