A common theme among the BDS inflicted & the "blame America first" crowd is their ability to buy into every thoroughly discredited meme that can be misued to place blame on the President, our military or our country. Another common theme among these people is that they are incapable of accepting facts & evidence that debunks the smears & slanders they fervently want to believe. In fact, they are so blind with their hatred they willingly buy into the lamest assertions simply because they support their world view. Example: They completely buy into a thoroughly discredited & obviously bogus "study" that claims there have been 655,000 "excess" civilian deaths in Iraq since the fall of Saddam than there would have been otherwise. Forget the fact that genuine experts debunked this "study". For get the fact that this "study" is several standard deviations above the estimates of every other estimate done on deaths in Iraq. Consider this: Those "excess" civilian deaths alone represent 3% of the population of Iraq. Keep in mind that more than half of Iraq has seen little or no "excess" violence since Saddam's fall, so those "excess" deaths were highly concentrated in the violent areas. So where is video of the massive exodus of millions of refugees fleeing the wanton slaughter? Who in their right mind would want to stay put while civilians are being slaughtered in such massive numbers for more than 3 straight years? Where is video of the mass graves that would be necessary to bury these "excess" civilian deaths? And isn't it just a little bit odd that if the world's mightiest military is wiping out civilians at a per capita rate that likely exceeds WWII civilian casualty rates that the "insurgents" continue to operate at all? Even if our military was killing 2 civilians for each "insurgent" - a rate that would qualify as wanton genocide - then more than 325,000 "insurgents" have seen their demise & at least triple that number would have been seriously injured. Can you name any military organization that could withstand such losses & still maintain a consistent level of resistance? If you can believe all of that, then I've got some great real estate opportunities & a bridge or two I want to sell you. And finally, these people are unable to step back & see that the people who spread these smears & slanders (Read: the "blame America first" crowd) are demonstrably more loathsome & evil than the objects of their derision.
