So, live by their rules, and its really painful, take an extra day off to have a planned vacation... :-)

Of course I live by the local rules, and it is more of an irritant than, say, an invading militia. But the holiday thing where the dates aren't know until the day before is a pain. And it happens about 3-4 times per year (both Eids, and I think there is a prophet's bday and prophet's ascension to heaven day, Sultan probably knows more than me), every year.

Imagine the chaos in the US if Indpendence day were July 4th or 5th each year, Easter was on a Saturday or Sunday each year, and Xmas were Dec 24th or 25th each year, and Thanksgiving were on the fourth Thursday or Friday in November every year, and you never knew which exact day until the evening before the first possible day. Its just a minor inconvenience, but for anybody on a schedule it can be quite an inconvenience.
