You think we shouldn't? You think we should do away with SS and medicare? I don't think we should take care of people that had the opportunity to take care of themselves, but chose not to. If they decided not to take care of themselves, why should I? I would rather devote resources to giving people the ability to care for themselves rather than devoting resources to people that had the ability and didn't make use of it. As for getting rid of SS and medicare, I really don't know much about either, and don't have an opinion.
