Well, sort of, there was also.. Judicial Veterans - Justice John Paul Stevens During World War II, John Paul Stevens served on a naval code-breaking team. He later received a Bronze Star for his contributions. Nominated by President Ford, Justice Stevens took his seat on the Court in 1975. He is the most senior member of the Court, and also the Court's only current octogenarian. As much good as he does, we could have done without him.
