Interesting link Mq....I'm not so sure about the comment below from your article, at least in the US....Our unemployment rate is the lowest it has been in MANY years...(Remember the MSM comments about the ILLEGALS coming in to do the jobs the "Americans won't do..." ???

In all likelihood it is a complex blend of social and biological factors. There is strong evidence linking levels of unemployment to crime rates, along with other purely social factors. The widening gap between poor and rich is a contributing factor undoubtably. There are also cultural factors involved, which go some way toward explaining why our crime rate is much higher than in some overseas** countries.

**KLP Notes:
Heaven forbid we would look at things like:

--Perhaps the stability of the homes in which children (of any race) are raised....

--The percentages of whatever race in the general population, versus the percentage of race in any given prison population.....

ETC.

Your article shows a link that I inserted ** into, which has a link, which in turn has the link below...on the sinking crime rate under Pataki and Guilini....

We might want to ask why with a different NYC Mayor the murder rate is going back up....
