The BIGGEST single thing we could teach our children is RESPONSIBILITY....

Of self, of community, of nation. All work well together when people actually know what responsibility is and apply it in their own lives, as well as in their community.

-o- learned that governments don't do anything effectively and all too often do things harmfully; the opposite of what's needed.

-o- I alsotook part in getting the vote lowered to 18 [when I was 18 and certainly felt very responsible, especially when they were conscripting 18 year olds to do military service].

So, it's my fault, indirectly. I thought governments handling charity and young people voting were good ideas.

-o- So,what happened was governments created vast welfare dependency without responsibility and young people voted for dopey ideas such as lots of socialism and Big Brother.
