Every children's tale has someone finding significance where there may not be any.

Look at all the discussion about Alice in Wonderland, and there may have something worthy of argument, but if the authors meant to stir up that much controversy why didn't they just write about it as a matter of opinion or dispute over which parties actively argue, or debate instead of hiding it behind a children's story?

I seem to recall several years ago Paul Harvey told a story about the Wizard of Oz having an underlying message. Political undertones, if memory serves. I really can't remember a bit of it. I thought your link might mention it, but I couldn't get any of it to work here. Does this ring any bells for anyone?
