Er... only if we get APPOINTED 'enforcer of U.N. Resolutions'... which is, of course, solely a perogative of the United Nations.

(As an example: the Security Council *authorized* military actions to enforce U.N. resolutions in the Korean War... and in Iraq after their attack on Kuwait. However they EXPLICITLY refused to authorize the latest Iraq War... and we, nor anyone else, do not have anything like a standing authorization to run around the world going to war in the 'name of the U.N.' :-)

So, yeah, that particular claim is mostly spin aimed at domestic audiences....
