Four acres is an area about 162 metres long and 100 metres wide, or about 16,200 square metres. If you've got 1,000 cubic yards, you have just over 750 cubic metres, which would attain a depth of a bit less than five centimetres, which is two inches.

That would dry quickly, but unfortunately, I suspect you're thinking something north of 10,000 cubic yards?
