What would be interesting is to graph all the relevant death classes as a proportion of men serving. I don't have time to do it, but that would interest me.

I think it would also benefit people to try to understand the derivative of the hostile deaths column. I know many people don't think in terms of derivatives, but it's key to understanding the function that is "hostile deaths". Judging by the numbers this year, and graphing this data in your head, that's not a pretty graph.
