I think the outlook for blank checks is better for 2007 than for last year. Both MAQ and FRH have raised enough cash to make an attractive offer.

I made money on the Jamba Juice SPAC IPO although the share and warrant prices were up and down all year.Since the merger finalized the SP has drifted down on low volume.

I'm long EDA warrants and AQR warrants at this time.I like the leverage of the warrants.I think the trick is to get in early and take profits as soon as there are any since these things go down just as often as they go up.

I don't think all of these deals are bogus but they are all certainly rigged to protect the principals. This should come as no surprise.EDA is an interesting one imho because American Apparel is a HOT property. Also, as far as I can ascertain,Stevie Cohen TOTALLY controls the shareholder vote.Correct me if I'm wrong.

My expectation is that both FRH and MAQ will consumate deals.
