Also, this arbitrary rule helps Elroy keep the game simple (ie it takes less time to manage). That was - and remains so - an important aspect when we designed this game for simplicity. Never forget Elroy runs this 100% pro bono. No doubt a more sophisticated and thus realistic game could be defined, but then that would call for more resources and most likely for a membership fee. Didn't we have a look at a game like that from South Africa some time ago? Somebody on our board pointed that one out, sure looked like a high end copy of ours and those guys, albeit not that many, played with real money. Taro
