I have to agree with you about calories. Some 15 years ago I topped off at 235 pounds, had trouble breathing and could hardly manage a flight of stairs. I became an ardent label reader, watched fat content, some carbohydrates and calories. A couple years ago I was down to 190 and I make sure I stay within just a few pounds of that weight by checking it weekly. I'm 6 feet tall and the insurance charts tell me I'm still too heavy. I dropped to 180 back then but thought I looked like a pencil. I'm very happy with 190. I've noticed my appetite is much less now than when I was heavy. I just learned to eat, and enjoy, lots less food.
