Nor do I. The execution of Saddam was lonnnnnnnnnng over due. If people felt relieved or even joy at his demise, I can't hold that against them. That was not my point in criticising the event at all. The ideas of justice and vendetta must be clearly distinguishable.

The execution is a good metaphor for the whole adventure - doing the right thing all wrong.
