Your facts are slightly off. Your formulation is not valid.
Had you written this as formulated below then none of the discussion that followed your original post would have occurred.

During the 8 Clinton years, an average of 938 US soldiers died each year.

During the first 4 Bush II years an average of 1297 US soldiers died each year.

In Iraq an average of less than 1 US soldier died each year between 1993 and 2000.

In Iraq an average of more than 800 US soldiers died each year between 2004 and 2006.
You included 2003 data in your original post which was almost half the average for 2004 through 2006. Since averages are based on a normal distribution, using 2003 data is not correct.

By formulating your argument in this way you present your facts and avoid looking like an idiot.
