When I took a really hard fall on what was supposed to be my last run before leaving to come home on Aspen Mt last yr I took a horrible fall. Flew over a cat walk that I didn't see and crashed on a very steep mogul field. I must have slid 100 yrds. I had borrowed my friend's helmet that morning having never worn one and wanting to see how I liked it, and was I ever glad. First thing to hit was my side and then my head......and I mean I really hit it hard. That helmet saved me from a concussion.

Anyway.........that was supposed to be my last run, but I knew I needed to get right back up and take another, so I got up..with the help of a really nice kid from Canada....skied to the lift and went right back up.

Sure glad I did. I knew I didn't want to leave with that hanging over me.

And I haven't skied without a helmet since.
