Without fantasy, we're nothing but a hollowed shell --- the product of a perpetual fast food, free lunch diet. After a test by fire, we may, once again, become a people worth our salt (see our grandparent's generation) --- though I suspect we'll throw a spoiled, adolescent, baby boomer tantrum and nuke the globe to glass.
