OT: Devil in the white city was awesome as was Larsen's next one Thunderstruck. Amazing how he intertwines two unrelated true stories so well. Truly tough books to put down! If you want PM me your address and I'll send you my thunderstruck copy to borrow.

(OT reading)

Two biographies I greatly enjoyed last year were Bird & Sherwin's American Prometheus, and The First American by HW Brands.

If you read both in a week (100 books in 2006...), then I'm impressed.

Enjoyed "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. Simple reading, historical fiction set in a 30's traveling (by train) circus. Wonderful stories. Now reading Rutherfurd's "London", which is good for a history-deprived scientist.
