Just to be clear, I believe the SOX "wedge breakout failure" as you more or less put it was just an expansion of the wedge. In other words the (iv) up was the move up early today before a return to the lower line bounded by the Dec 1st and Dec 22nd low which completed the (v) down.

So while clarity remains fleeting, its at least there for a trade. If I waited for total clarity before making a trade then I might as well call IB and close my account.vbg

Still don't have complete access to all my charts, but such as I have show a breakout above some range or pattern, followed by a breakout below, all over the place. An "outside day" I believe some folks call it. No expert in that kind of thing, but if memory serves, that's supposed to be bad voodoo, isn't it ??..vbg
