There has been talk about this for a long time.. Given a referendum on the subject... I think we would find Canadians united on an issue as never before in their history from sea to sea to sea..

One day a few months back I asked my husband, "how come gwb a is looking the other way on the border issue?" He said, well, I think it's because they (the administration)want to let them all come over to the point that we'll end up merging countries because there will be so many Mexicans and immigrants here that we won't be able to send them back. That way the US would have the labor, resources, etc, to compete with India and China." Within days, I ran across a small news item on the internet talking about how the republican administration had been floating the very idea of a Canada, USA, Mexico merger. Not endorsing this idea all, just fyi. I'll bet we'll be hearing more about this in the next few years in the mainstream press.
