Saddam provided aid and sanctuary to a wide variety of terror groups which have killed Americans - in the ME, in the US, and other countries like the Phillipines. I've posted about this a number of times. Leftwingers generally dismiss Saddam's history of anti-American terror support because they apparently think terrorism should simply be ignored. The last terrorist casulty America suffered before Saddam's overthrow was the murder of US AID official Lawrence Foley by killers commanded from Iraq by Musab al Zarqawi. Zarqawi gave them their orders and wired them money from Iraq which was a Stalinist-style state at the time. Picking another example, the first attempt to bring down the WTC in 1993 was commanded by a terrorist who entered the US from Iraq using a fake ID, the explosive used was made by an Iraqi who escaped the US and was given sanctuary in Iraq, and the bombing occurred on the Friday before the weekend which was the 2nd anniversary of Saddam's defeat in the first Gulf war.
