Ted, personally I'm fine with raising the minimum wage because, like George Will says, not that many people get paid minimum wage anyway, and those that do end up getting a raise after a year. Plus, unlike what George Will sees, I see value in establishing a bottom when it comes to wages, as it prevents labor exploitation.

Beyond that, however, I don't buy the "cost of living" arguments, or else the minimum wage really ought to be raised to $20/hour. Of course, there are economic consequences of such a move, but hey, like Pelosi said, "It's for the children."
