Thanks... but that chart shows "6 months through March 2006", and it also is entitled "changes in holdings of US national debt" which is very much different from saying proportions sold during most recent auctions.... Believe I said in my post 'recent months' (or at least, If I didn't, I should have). But, the chart you posted reflects CHANGES in holding, so of course it would be affected by the massive HISTORIC, i.e., pre-existing 'banked' holdings. Point I was trying to get at in my post was about the most recent auctions... i.e., what's happening at the margins NOW.
