Lenin Award” given by one right-wing group to the state’s most statist legislator. Now she wants the Minutemen prosecuted as “terrorists” if they’re caught with weapons, notwithstanding the fact that concealed-carry permits are perfectly lawful and easily obtained in Arizona. House Bill 2286 would establish a felony crime of domestic terrorism for people not affiliated with government who associate “for the purpose of patrolling to detect alleged illegal activity” while carrying a weapon. In theory, this language could apply to any block watch group. But Sinema really is targeting the Minuteman Project and similar civilian border patrol groups, Capitol Media Services reported Saturday.
