I don't think the founding fathers considered a religion that promotes murder, genocide and spousal abuse when drafting the Bill of Rights. I think we need an amendment that explicitly states, "freedom to practice any religion which does NOT etc., etc..." The etc. part being promote murder, genocide, infringe on the rights of others. We might need something bigger than 9/11 to get the ball rolling at the grass roots level, or one brilliant thinker to write a treatise on the subject.

Fawaz Damra, 46, was convicted in June 2004 of concealing his ties to Palestinian Islamic Jihad when he applied for U.S. citizenship in 1994. Damra, who served as imam at one of the Cleveland's largest mosques, was deported on Thursday, said Tim Counts, spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Earlier, Damra had agreed to be deported to Qatar.
