Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 - Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government "Should be"? There should be a lot of things: there "should be" enough be money for everyone; the world "should be" free of tyrants; there "should be" no wars etc This ridiculous liberation act promoted by some neo rightie who doesn't have a clue doesn't change the fact that the official policy of the US was containment of the Hussein regime. Had Bush stuck to that policy the US would not be in the mess it is now and Iraq would not be a cauldron of violence.
