Ours get a teacher break at least once a month, some times two a month. Christmas break is only 2 weeks, Thanksgiving is a week, spring break is a week and summer is only 6 weeks.

They take off for MLK Day, Presidents Day, Columbus Day, etc and in that same month, they might have at least one teacher in service day.

It makes me crazy!! When my oldest was in school, they were off longer for Christmas and Summer, twice for what we call "bank days" and 4 times for teacher in service days.

It's no wonder kids aren't doing well in school, their get going in class and then it's "hold the phone, we gotta throw in a few days off". Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

The students in this district get allot of breaks. Two week Christmas break, one week mid-winter break and Spring break. I think they get allot of "Teacher's Day" breaks....at least 4. Their Summer break is only about 7 weeks long.

The kids over here get out at least two weeks before they do over on the Wetside.

Got to be freed up to help with the wheat harvest I guess.
