Actually, I take a contrary viewpoint to yours. I think that intra-day trading is subject to information overload. I have seen some end-of-day data that appears extremely promising, and if I can make the network take that information into account in the manner that I intend to, then there will be no need to take it intra-day. Ever.

I'm working initially with S&P 500, but I see no reason why that can't be extended to other indexes and ETF's, and then on to individual stocks. My timing method has significant potential for use with options, which may be either good or bad, depending on your perspective.
