I certainly agree with you assessment of ALANco. The TriStar buy was a good move, but they continue to fail to deliver on promises in the RFID segment. Failing to have an aggressive sales team in that area is a big fault. To my understanding most of the contract talks are performed by upper management and not a dedicated team of experts. I don't see how a CFO or a director can possibly run a company and travel around the country tying to sell a somewhat expensive system to an already beleaguered (budget) industry. Here in CA, our state system sending convicts out of state as it is cheaper then keeping them here.

IMO the biggest problem with the stock price of ALAN is the perferred series A and B stock held by certain investors that allows them to buy a single unit at 10 dollars and sell that unit as converted common shares equal to 13 dollars....this not only provides the special investor with a 30% return, but also dilutes the common stock as to outstanding shares. The crux of this is that they do not have to report the sales of common or the conversion...
