Fish farming is one solution to overfishing. However, it depends on how it is done. Some methods are extremely harmful to the environment. Others are really benign.

Like when they excape their 'farms'and start to mingle with the indigenous species, spreading disease and overwhelming them. We are having that problem with the salmon farms up here.
