Not true. Clinton didn't start wars for private profiteering, Bush did. That's a presidential decision.

Clinton brought in wall streeters and policy wonks to give people confidence in the economy. Bush brought in party loyalists regardless of their competence (not). That's a presidential decision.

Bush is a thief, an incompetent and a war-mongerer. He pushed hard for tax cuts for the ultrawealthy and cuts for everything from wounded veterans to school children. These are presidential decisions as well.

Presidents matter, elections matter, objectives matter. The objective of Republicans is to line their own pockets and hoard power. They do this through war mongering, war profiteering, cost-plus, non-compete contracts and massive corruption. They do this by going after the poor while letting the rich have free reign.

These are policy decisions reflective of the administration.

Politics matter. Governments matter. Government has huge influence over individual private decisions. To think that individual human beings independently process all available information to make the best decision in any given situation is absurd.

People are sheeple. We're incredibly and, rather sadly, predictable.
