Of course Kerry is in the top tier of candidates. He was the last Democratic nominee, is known and loved by millions and has 14 million dollars in cash. He can also beat Hillary and she knows it. Bottomline, when you get close to voting time, Dem voters will take a look at 6-8 people on a stage having a debate and ask "Who seems like the strongest president, realistically speaking?". That is when Kerry wins. Always. He beat Bush in three straight debates, remember? Gore didn't. All Kerry needs next time is to make sure the GOP gets away with no more dirty tricks. But McCain was smeared by smearvets too. So he's not going to use that garbage. He can't. So what's left to smear with? Nothing. Obama is the one most vulnerable to smears, big-time now. And he knows it. If I were a GOP dirty tricks chief I'd have a field day with Osama, I mean Obama. See how easy it is?
