Generally speaking I find XPPro more stable than 2000, it is not without it's problems. There was a time when everyone loved to hate IBM now everyone loves to hate MS so attacks come from every front. Bloatware? We used to joke at IBM that new versions of the operating system did not have any additional features, it was released to sell more memory which at the time costs a ton of money. Linux I agree is an OS revolution. Power to the people".
The predisposition of people organizations and corporation is first and foremost "self preservation" to exist or continue, it takes exceptional leadership to select a path that serves the greater good. Do you really think that case worker really wants to get all of her clients off welfare?
