Of course it "happened very differently from the NewsMax article" as described by the DA.
Otherwise they could never have sent those guys in the slammer for 23 years.

Still doesn't change the fact that their sole witness, the drug smuggler then and later, was a real scumbag and that it was his word against the word of the two agents chasing him.
