We are still in the middle of the blast. You become immune eventually and have done everything in your power to survive it all. This has been going on for weeks now, with no let up in sight. I can see those huge trees swaying in the wind outside my window right now. I just pray one doesn't land on our roof. We'd just have one more thing to deal with. Getting good at that. Que Sera, Sera! Edit..........going to get my hubby a helmet and never ski without one. I don't know if a helmet would have prevented that guy's death, but it might have. Just like wearing a seat belt doesn't always prevent death. Better to increase your odds though. And the funny thing is.........if you wear a helmet just once you don't want to go out without one. They are warm, comfortable and give a sense of security.
