The downside here is finding people to work in middle income jobs. I live in Fort Myers where we have many jobs going unfilled as the expense of living here is too high. People are being hired for positions that they are not trained for and often not mentally equipped to do.

There has been an enormous amount of retail expansion which I think will be impossible to maintain and staff, much less keep them all in the black, financially. Two major regional centers have opened this fall and they are busy right now but will be ghost towns come late spring.

Tourism is up in my area but that is coming off a dismal 2004 &5 with all the hurricanes.
