Ok - you have given me a site which says that in Anfal men were separated and executed - so it was gendercide.

The 270 mass graves however indicate frequent cases of women and children interred and some with all women and children.

So it appears that there he had many styles of execution. Different styles for different populations. But the key behind his efforts was to reduce the shiite and kurdish populations within Iraq. Such a strategy includes executions of women and children. Your argument is still quite wrong, unless "tried to separate..." means that he really didn't try very hard and in many cases didn't try at all.

Still your effort at moral relativism is questionable at best and I still wonder why you seek to come to the defense of Saddam?

My lifetime's experience is that they are almost always wrong and I am almost always right.

Mq., when you walk on water do you wear water wings?

Did you really believe that WMDs business before the invasion and conquest of Iraq?

I did. (I wanted to say this for a long time)

And why not? Saddam openly stated his great imperial ambitions since the early 70's, I believe. And as early as in 1981 Israelis bombed his brand new reactor, which was about to get going. And he didn't build it *only* for electricity. Libia had a nuke program until 3 years ago... and Iran is willing to risk its very survival to get those toys. Why not believe that SH was working in the same direction? It's not as if this would be far of character.....
