I hear you slan and I am done with politics for today, unless it is impacting metals.

Lots of talking heads bearish on oil. But one guy was also bullish on gold? What I cannot understand, is in order to be bearish on oil one has to exclude the middle east variable!

I watched some interviews last night and one guy who really seemed believable said matter of factly; Iraq is in the process of dividing itself into three countries: sunnie, shia and kurd. He also said there was no doubt this would be the final outcome and that the Saudies, Syrians, Jordainians and Egyptions will support the Sunnies while Iran supports the Shia.

Personally I believe this is the only answer as well. Sadly!! Like fighting children they have to be separated-lol.

I believe he will prove to be correct.

But I also remember Michael Ware (whom I consider the smartest and most honest of all the reporters) saying this will be a travesty because think of all the people who will lose their homes as each sect moves to its own "country'. We forget sometimes that it would be like you and I having to leave our house and move to another country and not getting paid for our house.

And the grand irony of this war is, I would make a big bet, that Muqtada al sadre will end up as leader of the Shia. That is why I find the idea of a surge nuts.

Muqtada el Sadre is the main problem for Malaki and bush and he is also the strongest guy in iraq. Malaki nor the US can beat him, yet that is exactly what a surge would intend to do.

The US also is planning to help settle things down by getting people jobs. That is like throwing a cup of water on a burning house-lol.

One guy predicted cheney will resign this year citing health reasons. I think that may well happen. He is not going to like having to answer for his decisions on the hill.
Hagle is right: "alice in wonderland stuff-lol.
