I don't think you should believe that: <UN inspectors definitively proved there were no WMD in Iraq prior to 2003> There were probably some things moved to Syria. If I remember rightly, Iraqi aircraft flew to Iran before the UN attack in 1990. Maybe some went to Jordan too since Jordan was friendly to Saddam. His sons in law went there, then returned "voluntarily" to their execution. His daughters went there. WMDs would be good there too.

All the UN inspectors achieved along with other information such as son-in-law disclosures, was a very major reduction in weapons. They didn't prove there was nothing left. It just didn't make sense that there were significant remnants.
