Gore will wait and see if there is a "anyone but Hillary" movement about 9 months from now. Only if there's a big easy vaccuum for him to step into will he, I think. Unless he's been concealing his ambitions very well. I have a feeling he loathes campaigning now and loves doing exactly what he's been doing. Why not? He's one of the most respected guys on the planet and it really making a diffence without any risk or failure and he can make his own hours and sleep late if he wants.

I'll bet Kerry declares within a month. He's just hired 3 top campaign experts. He's still got the fire in his belly. He wants a second chance and he knows he can beat Hillary or Edwards if he gets an even playing field again. But he fears Gore.

Hillary is scared to declare, but probably will too at some point. I have no idea if Obama has any serious plans. So far I see a very ambitious and grateful young senator who wants to make a big difference, but running for president would still be a lot for him to try and chew off at this point in his career. It would be very brash for him to declare though he'd have a lot of instant support from the base.

Edwards doesn't seem to care. He's unemployed anyway. He's a professional runner for the presidency. But can you see him as commander in chief? I can't. Great guy otherwise though.

Gore is probably the ONLY person that could get in late and still have a shot.

Gore actually won the popular vote in 2000 and I think if anything his approval ratings have gone up since then.

I really don't think he wants it. People who want to be president don't go on SNL and play around.....that's my take.
