With the possible exception of the removal of Saddam, and that went poorly as the circumstances of his execution has made him a martyr for the moment, none of our goals, official or otherwise, have been achieved. On the other hand, Iran is now the sole regional power, their arch-enemy Iraq has been vanquished, the price of oil has sky rocketed, Shiites are in control of Iraq and that likely means a satellite state they never had before, and the mullahs are even more entrenched than they were before. That is hardly "losing". None of that would have been possible without US help.

They'll be several losers, and we'll be one of them. Iran will be the biggest winner. Hmmm, will the rest of the world suddenly want to immigrate to and live their lives in Iran? No. Will they want to immigrate to and live their lives in the USA? Yes. What does that have to do with the price of copper? What you just described would have happened whether we invaded Iraq or not. In that way, we have lost. However, we have lost prestige in the ME as well as influence. Meanwhile, Iran has gained greater influence. In that way, they are a winner.
