Chinu is right and you are sadly mistaken !!!

You are still labouring under the grand delusion that the Iraqis would welcome Americans with flowers and red carpets.

Haven't gullible Americans like you learnt by now they have been had by that Iranian double agent Ahmad Chalabi and Bush and his neocon buddies ???

By all means, enjoy your delusion while it lasts !!!

Bushies need to learn the lessons of Vietnam. That war crippled our military and budget for a decade or more afterward. In fact we still haven't paid for it.

The fallacy of the smearvet types that Vietnam was a just war free of atrocities and that the press and anti-war protestors lost it for us is just a total lie. In fact, that war was lost before Nixon was even elected, around 1967. Which is why LBJ bowed out after trying all his GW type moves and escalating. The real war protests didn't start until about 1969.

LBJ didn't know what to do anymore than Bush does now, but he did a big mea culpa and took his punishment like a man. This from the last big protege of Halliburton (Brown + Root) too, who also had a record of using smear campaigns and election fraud to get into power.
