Peter looked very much improved from the first fight. If he can kidnap Emmanuel Steward from the Klitcho camp, he might win the combined title.

Hi Bruce,

Happy New Year to you and everyone.

I think the major difference between this fight and the first was Peter's punching style; in the first fight, he threw a lot of stilted, clubbing punches - "arm punches" - which for an evasive, slippery fighter like Toney are easily ducked and countered. This time around, the simple truism that 'the shortest distance between two points is a straight line' seemed his organizing principle, and it showed - a subtle but remarkably effective difference.

I speculate that if Peter had fought the same way against Klitschko...or does the same, when they fight again...the outcome will be different. Straighter punches hit harder, consume less energy and are much harder to block, of course.

I agree also with respect to Billy Blanks in the training camp: a negligible contribution.
