Thanks, uw! The number of murders in CA alone in 2005 (one year!) is nearly as many many as the number of our soldiers who have been killed over the last nearly 4 years in Iraq....

Perspective: More than 2,500 Americans were murdered in California in 2005.

I have been wondering how many policemen/women we have in NYC in a given year, versus how many there are in Baghdad ....Baghdad has about 6 Million people and NYC has about 8 Million....

I knew CA and Iraq are nearly the same number of square miles. It would be interesting to compare the number of murders in LA versus the number in Baghdad...

We hear about their crime rate, and murders....From the numbers I've been seeing so far, we have plenty of problems, and perhaps the MSM should focus in on those too....
