One networks parasites are another networks new business model. Through the chaos of open networks and hodge podge of products emerges the creative businesses that make billions$. Change always looks intimidating. That is technical and social progress. If operators can't compete by offering open flat or low cost bandwidth plans nobody holds a gun to their head to prevent them from setting limits or otherwise charging for service as much as the market allows. On the other hand, if a new technology or model of business comes along that makes good sense for those who get in front of it, then they become actors of change, pushing out the old to the fringes. Dial up is still around... was it unfair to for cable, DSL and fiber to compete or for competition to take place for DVB?

There are numerous opportunities to create value as wireless finally becomes broadband and mobile.

This is early on in the next generation of wireless networks technologies. There will be evolution and obsolescence that drives some businesses to make changes or recede.
